On the evening of June 14, Dongfeng Yipai’s second family smart SUV eπ 008 new car was officially launched, with six color schemes: Night Shadow Black, Creek Lime, Sunny Gold, Starry Night Purple, Iceberg Blue and Dawn White. The interior has three styles: Luoshen Vermilion, Interstellar Obsidian Black and Moon Shadow Jade White.
In terms of the body shape, the eπ 008 is equipped with the only D-pillar charging indicator in the same class. The front of the body is a hidden intelligent star grille design, with 264 LED lamp beads built in. The rear and front of the car are all through-type light groups, which echo from head to tail. The body length is 5002mm, the wheelbase is 3025mm, and the wind resistance coefficient is only 0.268, presenting a simple and atmospheric visual impression as a whole.
In terms of safety, the EPi 008 is an enclosed ductile cage-type sound structure, with high-strength steel accounting for up to 70.8%. The built-in Mach power battery has also passed the test of safety varieties such as poking, squeezing, foaming, falling, and shaking.
Inside the cockpit, the eπ 008 adopts a true 6-seat design solution, with 40 modules and 127 interfaces, supports 300 + custom scene settings, and is equipped with a total of 6 screens before and after, namely the instrument screen, the center control screen, and the rear entertainment screen, as well as two rear control screens. All screens support touch, gesture, and voice operations. In addition, it also supports wireless screen projection for mobile phones. The cockpit has 20 built-in speakers and supports WANOS panoramic sound playback.
In terms of power system, the eπ 008 is based on the Dongfeng quantum architecture, providing both pure electric and super-extended versions. The pure electric version consumes 14.7 kWh of electricity per 100 kilometers and can achieve a long cruising range of 636km, while the super-extended version consumes 3.66 kWh of electricity per liter and has a cruising range of up to 1300km.

由于后排过道宽度超过了 180mm，因此乘客可方便快速进入二排和三排座位就坐，同时二排座椅均支持电动调节及通风加热，并提供有小桌板和 8 点按摩等功能，第三排的座椅靠背到前排椅背间距 700mm，提供有独立杯架和阅读灯以及充电接口等配置。
值得一提的是，东风 e π 008 后备箱的自带 72L 下沉空间，并提供了灵活的置物隔板，可进行上下层分隔放置，甚至能够放入婴儿车和自行车，标准容积为 292L，拓展容积更是可以达到 783L，第三排座椅能够独立放倒，座舱储物空间多达 28 处。
此外，整车配备了双层夹胶隔音玻璃，其厚度比市面上常见的夹胶隔音玻璃增加了 25%，外部噪音可降低 40dB，底部配备 EC7 静音轮胎，安静的驾驶体验就此得以实现。
