Ruan Jingtian, an underwater beast

Photo (1).jpg

Ethan was more serious than I had imagined.

According to my idea of opening remarks, I should have told him that "Ji Cunxi" is a very important role in the youth of our generation of girls.

But I didn’t mention that character in the end, because it was out of date for the current Ethan Ethan.

The temperament of Ruan Jingtian himself was a little far from that naughty boy and noble boy who had been popular all over Asia, and even his voice felt thicker and hoarse than before.

When we meet Chen Guilin in 2024, we see a character who is more special than Ji Cunxi, than the "monk" in "Monga," and than any stereotype.

At the beginning of the movie, a killer who swallows his food like a middle school student who has just finished playing football still has a bit of a crazy and flamboyant youthful atmosphere left on his body; after four years of absconding in the story, Chen Guilin, who decided to find a good ending for his life, has a huge stone in his heart, sharp and alienated to the point of being unfamiliar.

Since the second half of last year, Ruan Jingtian has released four major new films in a row. When he returns to the public’s field of vision, he has a different aura from before, like a ferocious animal. Looking into his eyes, there is still water flowing deep.

If you ask Ethan, what’s going on? I guess he will shrug his shoulders slightly and say, There is no reason, this is God’s will.

Before the movie was released, Ruan Jingtian gave an exclusive interview with Nanfeng Window. It’s hard to say why "providence" has become the keyword of our interview.

The actor’s current emphasis and understanding of the cause and effect of life is brought by Chen Guilin, by Huang Jingfu, or by age and experience? But you can also learn his method: we will mention "providence" here and now, which is arranged by providence.

The story that Ruan Jingtian wants to tell us even dates back more than 1,700 years.

"It will come to you"

Jin Dynasty (in the middle of the 3rd century AD), Yixing Yangxian, there was a stubborn teenager named Zhou Chu, who lost his father since he was a child, neglected to discipline, and his mother doted on him, "not weak, strong, good galloping field hunting, not cultivating fine line, indulging in lust", famous for his ferocious willfulness in the countryside.

The villagers called this violent young man and Nanshan White-fronted Tiger, Xishang Long Bridge Jiaolong "Yixing Three Evils". Some people persuaded Zhou to assassinate the dragon tiger, but in fact they hoped that the three evils would fight, leaving only one.

Zhou Chu killed the tiger, and fought with the flood dragon in the river for three days and three nights. When he returned from the downstream, he heard that the villagers thought he was buried at the bottom of the river and applauded, only to realize how disgusted he was. Zhou Chu repented, and later became a virtuous and loyal minister, and died in battle.

In 2023, the Hong Kong director Huang Jingfu, inspired by the allusion to "the three evils of the week", created a story about the underworld killer Chen Guilin, who had been on the run for many years and learned that he was suffering from advanced lung cancer, so he wanted to do something big and leave the world openly.

He went to the police station to turn himself in and saw his wanted notice. As the third of the three most wanted criminals in Taiwan, no one recognized him. He tore down the notice and decided to find the first two people who had absconded so far to kill the people, and then he would submit to the law.

Ruan Jingtian, who connects the two stories, was also once a prodigal son. In the interview, Ruan Jingtian began almost every sentence with "I think", as rigorous as answering an essay question on a test paper – the latter may have been his worst thing in the past.

Ruan Jingtian, a Taichung child, was once a "problem teenager". He had a talent for swimming, spent a glorious adolescence in the blue swimming lanes, and was once accepted as an Olympic reserve member of the Chinese Taipei swimming team. He swam all the way to the best high school in Taichung, but still dropped out of school due to his bad personality. He didn’t go home because he was addicted to online games, and asked his mother to post a missing person notice to find him for more than three months.

One day he woke up in an Internet cafe and found that his wallet key had been stolen. He had nothing in the real world, which made him realize that virtual stimulation was worthless. He deleted all his accounts and walked home slowly.

A few years later, at the age of 20, he accompanied a friend to Taipei for an audition, but he was selected to enter the acting industry as a model. At that time, Taiwan’s idol drama was hot, and he followed the trend and started to become an actor, but it was not easy: "When I swim, as long as I try hard, no one can beat me, but why have I tried so hard, and I still can’t beat others?"

For Ruan Jingtian, the impression left over from the beginning of his acting career was that he was helpless and helpless. Every time he was in a play, the scene was set and the lights were on, he would feel so lonely, "Others will film, only you will not."

The first time he made a music video, he didn’t know how to understand the characters and emotions at all, so he relied on the director to guide him with a password: "Look here! Look up! Okay, shout!" Ruan Jingtian did the same. When filming "Green Forest", director Feng Kai reprimanded him on the set because he couldn’t play a simple love scene: "Hey, Ruan Jingtian, do you know how big my fist is!"

Of course I’ve been in love, but how can I perform that non-existent emotion with an unfamiliar person? For the basic logic of "empathy", Ruan Jingtian’s enlightenment in performance came not early.

Change happens little by little. I found a passage from him describing his acting revelation: "It’s like time slows down, you can see fine dust in the air, you get goosebumps all over your body, numbness from your arms all the way to your shoulders to the top of your head. That’s when everything you do and say is right."

It was during the filming of the 2007 Taiwanese idol drama "I am in Kenting with Clear Weather." Model Xiaosheng, who thought he was nothing but young and handsome, experienced the wonderful feeling of acting for the first time, making him want to come again and again.

However, when I asked Ethan in 2024 "how to accumulate experience and energy for performing," Ethan suddenly asked back: "How old are you?"

I was immediately taken aback by the question, and even had to react for a while before I remembered that I was 26 years old.

He replied with a kind chuckle: "Then it hasn’t found you yet."

He used an honest tone: "Of course I can tell you a lot of beautiful things. I tell you that I will pay attention to every event and every emotion in life, and then put it into my role, but I want to say that many things are not what you expected. You don’t know when you will like someone, and you don’t know when the person you love will leave this world.

Two years ago, "Removing the Three Evils in the Week" came to him.

Maybe he didn’t understand Chen Guilin so well in the early years of this script. Over the years, Ruan Jingtian has used proximity to judge whether a script has fate with him, and he prefers characters that can be connected to him in certain places.

Ruan, 40, accepted Chen Guilin.

Who is Ethan Ruan?

"Getting rid of the three evils around" is a story about finding value.

Chen Guilin in the movie has an obsession to tell everyone that he has "a name and a surname".

At the beginning of the story, Chen Guilin learns that he is suffering from cancer and will not live long. The turning point of the story takes place when he turns himself in to the police station. Among the people who came to the police station to pay back the money, Chen Guilin, except for his special height and appearance, no one knew his fame in the world. He saw a notice on the wall of the three most wanted criminals in Taiwan. He was in third place, and half of his face was covered by other notices. He could not accept that he was as light as a piece of paper and that no one in the world knew him.

Near the end, Chen Guilin was handcuffed. He raised his hands, revealing a cheerful smile that was rare after four years of absconding, and shouted to everyone, "I am Chen Guilin!"

In addition to the desire to be famous and respected, Ruan Jingtian felt that this desire to be "famous and surnamed" also pointed to a search for self.

He seemed to be recalling himself slowly: "Look, everyone is born with a name from their parents and needs to know who they are. When I was young, having a name was also very important to me. I would want to know who I am, what I want to do next, and accepting myself may be a more important topic."

This is where Ethan Ruan can best understand Chen Guilin.

Because before he encountered the question "who is Chen Guilin", he had spent most of his life trying to figure out "who is Ruan Jingtian".

When we ask this question to the outside world, we may get some simple answers: the former idol drama brother, the young Golden Horse Best Actor, the often violent role of the actor, the handsome star with constant scandals… But there must be some elusive reality, like water slipping through the fingers, scattered outside these labels.

The turning point for Ethan’s career came in 2008, with "Destined to Love You," a Taiwanese ratings record. Before that, because his acting career had not improved for a long time, he wanted to leave the industry and go back to study. It happened that the play gave him a chance to play the male lead. The simple idea that "you will not regret playing the male lead once and then leaving" unexpectedly led him to the first peak of his career.

In 2010, Ethan was named Best Actor of the Golden Horse for his role as "monk" He Tianyou in "Monga." The honor came earlier than anyone expected, so much so that some seniors at the time even said, "Ethan himself doesn’t know what this award means."

At the same time, tasting pain and glory, this actor not only brought him a broader career, but also expanded the depth of his life.

The first thing that came was self-doubt. When he got this trophy, his first reaction was that it all came from the director’s guidance to him, and he was just put in the right position. It was not until he got the best actor that he began to face the question of "whether he is qualified". Proving himself is a choice that he will definitely make if he is strong, and also completing his explanation of his identity as the "best actor".

He filmed Hou Hsiao-hsien and Director Tsui Hark, and worked with different teams in Hong Kong and mainland China. His career situation was opened up, and the roles he received were getting richer and richer. He could no longer make mistakes on the set, nor could he consider himself a newcomer and a learner. The world’s requirements for an actor were completely different from those for a cream boy.

However, the subsequent attempts were not all so satisfactory. "Blood Drop" lost word-of-mouth at the box office, "Military Paradise" was not nominated, and the response to the costume drama was poor. Absent from the photo of the best actor and actress on the "Golden Horse 50" occasion, he encountered the most severe criticism from the outside world since his career, and he was away from the stage that brought him his first glory for a decade.

He occasionally appeared in entertainment variety shows. Although he had a sense of variety shows and a good personality, for an actor who had high hopes, it was inevitable that he would waste time in variety shows.

Burying his head in the water, the outside world was isolated, and the world flowed slowly around him in a jelly shape. He held his breath and dived deeply. He was no stranger to this.

Wait a minute, it’s time to take a deep breath out of the water.

Stills from the movie "Hunted"

Western Moment

Ruan Jingtian’s return was steady and ambitious.

Wen Tianxiang, chief executive of the Golden Horse Executive Committee, saw Ruan Jingtian in "Hunted" and felt that he was very different from before. "He can be said to be the best person at crying now."

If the difference is captured more carefully, it is probably that in the original play, Ruan Jingtian was performing "a person", but now he can perform a period of time on a person.

In "Hunted", human agency Lin Yousheng experiences the death of his ex-girlfriend at the beginning of the story. This character, who mixes labor issues, low-level ecology, and a sad past, makes you feel that there are traces of time passing on him as soon as he appears.

In "Raging Tide" at the end of last year, Ruan Jingtian played the police officer Mai Langwen, showing another decadent style, jumping onto the screen like a wolf dog. At this time, Ruan Jingtian was soaked in salt water, rolled in blood, choked in boiling water, and washed away the dust on his body. There was a result of precipitation in his eyes.

A more mature Mr. Ruan meets Mr. Chen. Last year, with "Removing the Three Evils in the Week," Mr. Ruan returned to the Golden Horse after a decade-long absence and became a candidate for Best Actor again. He bows deeply to the stage, past entanglements disappear, and the actor Ruan Jingtian regains recognition with a humble and calm posture.

After "Mengka", the people on the show were different from yesterday. He performed Chen Guilin’s life history, "able to use his own outlook on life to collide and compete with other characters."

At the beginning of the movie, Chen Guilin was already a bit of a celebrity.

And Ruan Jingtian imagined a history for Chen Guilin: a third generation who grew up in another province, perhaps because of the intergenerational upbringing, was very close to his grandmother. Therefore, he would have an ordinary name like "Chen Guilin", which should not be uncommon among children in the village.

Mr. Ruan, who also grew up with his grandparents in Jiancun, was 10 years old. He starred in "Paradise in the Army" for his grandfather because the story was about the history of Taiwan’s first generation of foreigners. He shares Mr. Chen’s origins, so he understands things that the characters hide in their hearts, like the cartoon watch his grandmother bought and a suit that symbolizes brotherhood.

An ordinary child can become a killer, and Ethan believes that he "must have never understood why he did it" – maybe he became a younger brother under the coaxing of friends, or maybe out of the "justice" purpose in his mind, maybe to protect his boss and a certain friend. He may indeed be a "bad guy" in the secular sense, but he "must be a little more romantic than the average person."

Killing and overselling goods, fighting and chasing, the movie begins, Chen Guilin is not hesitant but not afraid, with strong colors and fast pace. Wait until four years of exile pass in the time and space of the story, and then to Chen Guilin on the road to kill the damage, the tone has changed a little. Chen Guilin’s hair is slightly curled, his beard is messy, and his thin face is pressed under the cap. He is silent and forbearing but decisive, like a cowboy with a gun in a Western.

The English title of the film "The Pig, the Snake, and the Pigeon" not only uses three animals to correspond to three wanted criminals, corresponding to "greed, hatred and delusion", but also pays tribute to "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" (The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly). The soundtrack is quite ingenious to use harmonica, guitar, trumpet, whistle and other instruments to create a Western style. It can be seen that Huang Jingfu really intended to graft a Western soul for this story that was born out of Chinese folklore. In the wilderness sand where public order and good customs have not yet been established, money and fame become the targets of the soul. Drawing guns and life and death are instantaneous. Every close-up between good, evil, good and evil shows his opponent and himself.

In the eyes of Ruan Jingtian, Chen Guilin is similar to the cowboy in the western story because of the characteristics of a marginal person. In the past, Chen Guilin had his own set of rules, romantic and fierce, but he was also cut off from the order of modern society. He wandered on the edge of this society and was an outsider. In one scene in the movie, Chen Guilin went to the park to find his doctor Zhang Guiqing. He could only look at the normal family under the sun from a distance, like a shadow. Dissociation, edge, loneliness, "this is Chen Guilin’s western moment."

And Ruan Jingtian knew that loneliness was not just a legend. No matter how many friends a person has next to him or how many social relationships he is in, he will eventually encounter that moment that he can only face alone.

"Everyone has their own western moment."

Everything is cause and effect

Looking at the past, Ruan Jingtian found it very interesting that sometimes the harder he tried to prove his work, the worse the result was, and when he didn’t know how he did it, he did it instead.

At the beginning, the script of "Removing the Three Evils in Zhou Chu" was not like this, and this character was not Ruan Jingtian, but by chance, he was the one who played it in the end.

Ethan Ruan was involved in the birth of Chen Guilin.

In the movie, he intersects with two female characters, and to describe this connection, Ruan Jingtian only says it is "cause and effect." Chen Guilin himself walked into his own destiny. By the end of the story, we know that the root cause of all this is a black humorous lie woven by Zhang Guiqing, but Ruan Jingtian believes that the fate of creating this lie still comes from Chen Guilin’s past choices in his life.

Characters and roles, actors and roles, coincidence drives coincidence, and there is a cause and effect, "You will become the cause of others, and others will become your cause", life is like a cycle.

Ruan Jingtian now felt that it was destined for a character to find him, and it was also destined for him to choose him. For him, drama and life seem to be inseparable.

He used his own body to carve Chen Guilin into a flesh, contributing a very imaginative action scene to "Three Harmful Things in the Week". One is Chen Guilin stabbing Chen Hui’s eyes with an incense burner in the fight with the police; the other is chasing Aberdeen, the most wanted criminal, Chen Guilin wins miserably and bites off Aberdeen’s tongue.

Ruan Jingtian often shoots action scenes and loves to shoot, and he likes to prepare for action scenes. But in addition to developing muscles and strength for fighting scenes, he is more concerned about everyone using a different style when fighting. For example, Li Liren’s police officer probably learned to fight in school, so he has rules and skills, while Chen Guilin is more like a beast.

When he was young and arrogant, Chen Guilin was not in awe of life and death. As a "simple" killer, as long as he won, he only needed to live. Therefore, he would have an unrestrained animal nature. Ruan Jingtian recalled the chase and street-to-street battle with Li Liren at the beginning of the movie, and felt that it was actually more relaxing than playing a fugitive with worries.

When Chen Guilin and Aberdeen were fighting, the purpose of exterminating the harm might be even later, and the revenge for the humiliation under the razor the day before stimulated the blood in the madman. Ruan Jingtian really wanted others to feel the suppression and violence of Chen Guilin, so there must be some way to convey a kind of physical fear and pain, he thought, "with a bite."

So, at the moment of life and death, Chen Guilin bit off Aberdeen’s tongue, and at the same time completed the counterattack, revenge and extermination. Before filming, Ruan Jingtian persuaded Aberdeen’s actor, Yuan Fuhua, to cooperate and "met a good opponent" in the play, so he could complete this vision.

You will feel Chen Guilin’s pain and determination here: after being abandoned by the world, the trapped beasts are still fighting, and this must be done.

But the story took a sharp turn at this point. On the way to find the second wanted criminal, Chen Guilin was deceived in the new mind, and once let down his guard in front of the Venerable One, abandoned his external belongings, and let go of his obsession with eliminating harm.

This beast has its own weaknesses. Suffering from "lung cancer", he not only has a desire to survive, but also longs for respect from the outside world. As a wanted criminal, he used to be a mouse in a dark corner, but now he has a chance to wear new white clothes and become a "new creation". In an irreversible world, the temptation of intense "expectations and begging" to turn things around in an instant is so great that any blatant deception can be believed to be true.

Before embarking on the road to extermination, Chen Guilin once fell at the feet of Emperor Guan Shengjun and threw nine holy grails in an attempt to confirm his fate. He needed an external belief from the beginning, and the reason was that he "couldn’t find himself".

When Chen Guilin, like Uma Thurman, who pierced the coffin in "Kill Bill," escaped from the ground and returned to the New Mind House, the cowboy with the gun not only took back his own destiny, but also the destiny of others.

He shot Lin Luhe and slaughtered all the believers. There is just a choice, if you encounter a jam, you can go; if you don’t run, you will die in the second load.

Ruan Jingtian did not consider these believers to be "commoners". Their choices created their own identities, and they were given a choice in the face of the truth. When they made a choice, there was a result, and everyone was responsible for that choice. There was no God or executioner in this story, only the independent will that everyone should have.

This kind of existentialist way of thinking was an important acquisition for Ruan Jingtian from "The Three Evils" or from director Huang Jingfu.

Ethan enjoyed working with Huang Jingfu very much. He interacted with the director a lot, but he rarely talked about the play. They listened to Ryuichi Sakamoto, exchanged movies, and talked about the taste of life. The director would give him a set of clothes that he would wear, whether hot or cold, like the skin of Chen Guilin. When playing Chen Guilin, Ethan was asked to retreat to that state of suspicion and fear and disliking himself, and he learned to get along with himself again in the play.

He was already very familiar with Chen Guilin.

Farewell to Chen Guilin

But it will still come to the moment when he is destined to bid farewell to Chen Guilin.

When an actor is very interesting, the actor gives something to the character, and the character leaves something in the actor. When the next play is played, Ruan Jingtian knows that he is going to say goodbye to Chen Guilin. But it doesn’t have to be a goodbye. Seeing clips on the Internet again, I remember how I used to operate this character, and a part of that character’s life will come back to life.

Maybe this encounter and separation did bring overlapping and rich colors to his life, "but after all, the life of an actor is so ordinary, just like everyone else, it is a one-way street."

Ruan Jingtian is in his 40s, his appearance is still handsome, and his soul has gained weight. Sometimes when faced with the same thing, the 20-year-old option is still there, but the 40-year-old will no longer choose. Whether it is actively choosing or passively accepting, he has been silent and meditated, accompanying his family, facing himself, and feeling all this well. The result is that at least he is now more able to accept himself.

He has a desire to express himself in the world, and acting is still the best – if not the only – way. When he was in his twenties, he wanted to go back to school, but he didn’t expect to play a leading actor who was very popular in Asia. Later, he thought he would have to film for at least 20 years before he could win the best actor, but at the age of 28, his dream came true. He once planned to stop acting at the age of 50, but unfortunately this career has treated him well. Now he thinks about it, not acting after 50 is also very boring.

During the filming of "Mengka", there was a heavy crying scene. He really cried so hard that his snot "snapped" and fell on Feng Xiaoyue’s head in his arms. Fans laughed and asked "dirty", while the young future actor asked the director why we had to be so painful and open our old wounds to complete a performance. The director said that you cut the wound, but the people who saw you in front of the screen will be healed. Later, they will come to heal you.

This is probably the interaction of life. Ruan Jingtian was not a good student in the past, but he really learned how to be a person and do things in the process of being an actor, which may enrich his life better than "borrowing roles to live one more time".

Ruan Jingtian has told a short story of his experience after being awarded the Best Actor in many places. At that time, he came to the mainland to film and was able to cooperate with many actors who graduated from the profession. He had an open-minded desire to seek advice, but was ridiculed by the actors in the same group, "Golden Horse Award, that’s it". After a few hours of suffering, he decided to ask the actor out for a swim – in the face of his best sport, he thought maybe he could be more confident to communicate with others. As a result, the actor said, you have to relax, how can you act so stiff. Ruan Jingtian suddenly realized, and later they became good friends.

In fact, he should have known the truth of "relaxation" very early on.

As a child, he reigned supreme in the swimlane, and the water would teach him the wisdom of life. "Never fight against it (water), but follow it. In the water, if you use more power, the more you resist it, the less you will move."

The 40-year-old’s life was summed up in "Removing the Three Harmies Around the World". After ten years of diving, he came out of the water once, so-called "returning to everyone’s field of vision", and only he knew that in fact, he had been crawling underwater.

This is life, and this is God’s will.

He went with the flow.

Peng Yuyan visits the class! Zhang Jiahui and Chen Weiting’s "Burst Point" is hot in Hong Kong

1905 movie network news On August 2, in Sham Shui Po District, Hong Kong, China, the film starring,,, was exposed on the set. At 7 pm on the 2nd, Chan Wai-ting and Cheung Ka-fai appeared in the lively Sham Shui Gold Shopping Mall for filming.

Chen Weiting was the first to arrive at the scene accompanied by the staff. He was seen wearing a red "flowery" top and a silver-and-white flat-top, which was very eye-catching. He played against Brian, a member of the band Twenty-Four Flavors. The plot tells that the two walked around in the two-story mall and interspersed in the crowd. Chen Weiting’s eyes were very fierce and his aura was strong. During this period, a staff member took out a spray kettle and sprayed water on Chen Weiting to create a sweating effect.

Until 8 PM, another protagonist, Zhang Jiahui, also appeared in a seven-person car. After Zhang Jiahui arrived, he immediately boarded the cosmetic car. About an hour later, Zhang Jiahui once came out of the car to inspect the scene, and then got out of the mall wearing a mask to shoot.

The most surprising thing of the night was the surprise of the surprise visit to the set. Peng Yuyan collaborated with Zhang Jiahui in a movie in 2013, and with Chan Weiting last year in the TV series "Dragon Tiger V". It coincided with Peng Yuyan’s recent stay in Hong Kong to participate in a film starring the producer. He took advantage of the gap to surprise the two old friends, which was quite intentional. Peng Yuyan donned a blue cap and a black shirt, dressed in a low-key manner, and his strong unicorn arms were very eye-catching. During the break, the three of them were in a corner of the mall, talking and laughing during the period, and the atmosphere was harmonious.

The $200 million movie "Burst Point," Mr. Chan’s comeback after a two-and-a-half-year absence from Hong Kong cinema, has been "tailor-made" for Mr. Cheung and Mr. Chan. The film is currently in production, and the specific schedule has not yet been announced.

Nicholas Tse: Ah Ao is the spark of the future of Hong Kong films. He died in the movie

There was a very special lamp in Nicholas Tse’s house. He put a wire on it, and it was covered with gifts from his seniors.

Andy Lau wrote: "People are good and do not bully."

Fifteen years ago, director Chen Musheng wrote: "Keep your faith."

Time passed, and the young man became middle-aged. He finally understood what was hidden behind these four words.

What is the definition of "Hong Kong film"?

Is it the tripartite creation of Shao’s films, Jiahe films, and New Art City films, represented by police and gangster films, martial arts films, and comedies, or the Hong Kong star era of "Double Monday"?

The popularity of "Fury · Serious Crime" has brought Hong Kong action movies back to the public eye. As the last work of the late director Chen Musheng, movie fans once again experienced the hail of bullets and short-blade hand-to-hand combat between police and gangsters in the cinema. Perhaps at a certain moment, senior Hong Kong film fans saw not only "Fury · Serious Crime", but also "SWAT New Humans", "New Police Story" and "The True Color of Men"… And today in 2021, the word "new" in these titles seems to have a more bleak taste.

Along with "Anger · Serious Case", another name was pushed into the hot topic: Nicholas Tse.

What defines Nicholas Tse?

Is it an actor who has won the Best Supporting Actor at the 28th Hundred Flowers Awards and the Best Supporting Actor in the 4th Asian Film? Is it a singer who participated in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala and won the best-selling Asian singer award at the World Music Awards? Or is it a chef who is proficient in Chinese and Western food and won the first "Friend of Michelin" honor in history?

Nicholas Tse, who was born with a golden spoon, has entered the age of no confusion. Born in Hong Kong, he caught up with the glorious era of Hong Kong films and witnessed the decline of this era. He has worked with director Chen Musheng six times, and one of the most special titles in his name is –

"The Hope of Hong Kong Film".

Starfire: Born Different

The popularity of "Rage · Serious Crime" has evoked the audience’s obsession with Hong Kong action movies, and the excitement is also uneasy – will Hong Kong police and gangster movies stop there?

Nicholas Tse, who is about to turn 41, put down his kitchen utensils and played the butterfly knife in "Rage · Serious Case" – a dazzling knife technique from the Philippines that Nicholas Tse studied for a long time for this film – quite the legendary pose of a Shaolin sweeping monk. He became the last tough guy in Hong Kong movies.

This tough guy, from the moment he was born, was doomed to a different fate.

On August 29, 1980, more than 50 journalists crowded around the hospital, grabbing headlines: the son of the smash hit "fourth brother" Xie Xian and the first Hong Kong sister champion "Lagu" was born. A week later, the baby Nicholas Tse was on the cover of the magazine. The world is as chaotic as new.

Now that Nicholas Tse is facing the kitchen utensils, he should not recall the moment when he was 2 years old and co-shot his first advertisement with his parents. At that time, he happened to endorse MSG.

Top resources, contacts, background. Nicholas Tse’s track is naturally unique.

Ordinary people yearn for fame and fortune, while influencers are extravagant. In order to escape the day and night spotlight, Nicholas Tse moved his family to Singapore. Avoiding paparazzi, the young Nicholas Tse began to live out his true self by passively accepting the highlights from the previous generation. At the age of 14, he fell in love with music.

Tse wrote his first song at the age of 15, signed with Futu Records (the predecessor of Emperor Entertainment) at the age of 16, and released his debut album "My Attitude" at the age of 17. This album was born and exploded, and various awards were soft. The mass market proved that this noble son had not only resources, but also more talent. Although more news was "paying off my father’s debts" at that time.

At this point, Nicholas Tse could continue to cultivate as a singer. At that time, there were still two years before he released the million-selling "Thank You for Your Love 1999". One peak was even taller.

However, Nicholas Tse chose an acting career. As the saying goes, singing is good and acting is good. Rather than talking about transformation, interpreting career and Nicholas Tse is more like a two-way journey.

In 1997, before the age of 18, Nicholas Tse starred in his first film "**********". History repeats itself, the first film, the first role, Nicholas Tse won the Best New Actor Award at the 18th Hong Kong Film Awards.

The teenager’s feet stepped into the door of Hong Kong’s film industry. Until he met Chen Musheng.

Excessive: full of madness

Tough man Nicholas Tse rarely shed tears. At the press conference of "Anger · Serious Case" in June 2021, he shed tears.

It was at the end of the group photo session. A chair emblazoned with "Benny Chan Director (director Chen Musheng’s name) " was brought up on the stage. The host said, "Let’s take a special photo together."

Nicholas Tse restrained for a long time, but tears still hung on his face.

Back in 1999, Nicholas Tse first appeared in Chen Musheng’s film "SWAT New Human" when he was only 19 years old. Over the years since then, he and Chen Musheng have worked together six times, making him the actor who has worked with Chen Musheng the most, including "New Police Story", "The True Color of Boys", "New Shaolin Temple", and later guest appearances in "Baby Project" and many other works.

Chen Musheng was a director, a guide, and a close friend to Nicholas Tse. When the two met, it was the peak of Hong Kong film. At that time, Hong Kong action films could shake up the entire international film industry. In his book "The Secret of Hong Kong Film: The Art of Entertainment", the American film critic David Podwell said that Hong Kong films in the 1990s were "all over the top, all crazy".

It is the director who is crazy, and the actors who go too far.

In the not-too-distant era of Hong Kong films, Tsui Hark’s martial arts films dreamed of returning to the rivers and lakes, John Woo’s police and gangster films interpreted the aesthetics of violence, Stephen Chow created nonsense and funny, and John To portrayed the godfather of the gang… Chow Yun-fat, Chow Xing-chi, Jackie Chan, Leung Ka-fai, Lin Qingxia, Wang Zuxian, Zhu Yin… All of these constitute the collective memories of the post-80s and post-90s.

Naturally, Chen Musheng and Nicholas Tse were also indispensable.

At that time, despite the different themes, most Hong Kong films were tainted with a sense of unruly rivers and lakes, full of little people in the market who roared up to the sky in the face of the world and destiny. It was such ordinary characters that the extraordinary Nicholas Tse interpreted the most. And the closest word to ordinary is actually "spell". Only those who have spelled it can understand the ordinary and fear the ordinary.

It is said that there are two people on the blacklist of insurance companies in Hong Kong, one is Jackie Chan and the other is Nicholas Tse. Both are action actors who are "not afraid of death and do not need stand-ins".

As early as in the first "**********", Nicholas Tse showed his ruthlessness. In a group fight scene, Nicholas Tse was pierced by the iron fence and bled, but he insisted on not going to the hospital. At that time, his words were recorded by countless people-

"Can you still find 300 identical people tomorrow, wearing the same clothes and doing the same actions?"

"This is my first play in Nicholas Tse’s life. I was looked down upon before and said I wasn’t serious, but today I have to prove it to them. Don’t worry about me, even if I die this time, it’s my own choice."

At the age of 18, he did his best to prove that he was not a star second generation who relied on face-to-face relationships, but an ordinary person with love.

Hanging by a rope in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center Pavilion, suffocating and going into shock, falling from a two-story iron frame injuring spinal nerves, flying, jumping into the sea, fighting… Such madness is almost witnessed in Chen Musheng’s movies, just for one shot.

Jackie Chan said: "No one is more crazy than him, today Nicholas Tse is the next Jackie Chan."

Dark Fire: Era Bluff

Nicholas Tse was on fire, putting aside the aura of the previous generation, he really became popular. After the fanatical pursuit of fans, it was natural to follow the scandals and criticisms, and any flaws would be made public.

Among them was the "top package case" in 2002, and the subsequent feuds between Nicholas Tse, Faye Wong and Cecilia Cheung. Nicholas Tse briefly quieted down.

Coincidentally, Nicholas Tse’s own changes also coincided with the decline of Hong Kong films in time.

In the early 1990s, the Hollywood computer CG blockbusters represented by "Terminator 2" and "Jurassic Park" completely emerged. This new genre of films raised investment to more than $100 million, forming a dimensionality reduction blow. After the millennium, blockbusters such as "Avatar" and "Avengers 4" occupied the vast majority of the box office market.

Anita Mui and Leslie Cheung passed away; Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Chow Yun-fat, the three giants of the golden age of Hong Kong films, left Hong Kong in 1998 and went to Hollywood. After 2002, the three giants returned to the Chinese mainland and started a new journey. Pure Hong Kong films were abandoned, by the audience, by the times, and fiercely left behind. By 2003, Hong Kong films had almost reached a low point.

Dark fire swayed.

At this time, Chen Musheng became the representative director of the late glory of Hong Kong movies. Nicholas Tse, after his comeback, reached a peak in the field of music and film and television again. Nicholas Tse said: "I very much hope that the label of Hong Kong Action – Hong Kong action movies can continue for a long time." But with the further segmentation of the film market in recent years, the audience’s viewing feature iteration, and the change of capital investment, Hong Kong action movies have not been truly inherited. Although Nicholas Tse has starred in many films that are well-received and well-received, it is difficult for a lonely tree to become a forest and turn the tide.

He was once known as the hope of Hong Kong cinema.

In the end, Nicholas Tse transformed into a variety show. In 2014, "Twelve Sharps" was born. Nicholas Tse took the kitchen utensils and explored the customs behind the food with his friends. He was old enough, and he had experienced too many things in his life. After a long time, many people almost forgot that Nicholas Tse was actually a singer at first.

Tinder: Catching Fire

Mr. Tse had not acted in any criminal action films for five years before "Fury," the revenge theme of the two male protagonists that is the usual setting for Hong Kong police and gangster films. In a few years, the glory that will never return is waved away.

After filming "Rage · Serious Case," Nicholas Tse and many others said, "I haven’t played so well in many years."

In today’s era, when special effects are widely used in movies, and even the actors themselves are cut out for pictures, Nicholas Tse represents the "old school" who insists on doing it physically and punches to the flesh. In the face of this "old", Nicholas Tse is even full of hope, thinking that no matter how he hits or falls before the age of 50, no matter how much he jumps off a building, it will be OK. This energy, he has held back for several years and is ready.

This kind of holding back is a regret for the decline of Hong Kong films, unwillingness to oneself, and anger at all injustices, injustices, and dishonesty. Just like the character Ao himself in the movie.

In the interpretation of Ao, the evil smiles on the screen always remind people of the Joker: the Joker played by Heath Ledger in "Batman: The Dark Knight"; the Joker played by Joaquin Phoenix in "The Joker". The sadness that makes people hold their breath.

But Ao was still dead.

At the end of the film, Ao leapt and died in the arms of the statue of the Virgin Mary. Outside the film, the director Chen Musheng died of nasopharyngeal cancer in August 2020 at the age of 58.

In the film’s publicity team group, Chen Musheng’s last few words specifically mentioned the role of Ah Ao. He said that Ah Ao is the spark of hope for the future of Hong Kong movies in this film.

Nicholas Tse remembered this sentence firmly.

Some people say that "Rage · Serious Case" has brought Hong Kong films back to their peak. Talking about the future of Hong Kong films, Nicholas Tse said, let nature take its course. Sometimes the glorious time in every place is like fashion. It can never be a pattern, a color, a spot, a straight line. It will always be popular or change. But this doesn’t matter. Slowly, it will also have its own era, so you can’t force everything to go with the flow.

Those roads that should be taken have been passed, the scenery that should be seen has been seen, and the position of the station has been stood. Perhaps, it is enough.

Rather than obsessing about the renaissance of Hong Kong films and the sudden cliff-like decline of Hong Kong films, it is better to explore what factors inspired the glory of Hong Kong films from the 1960s to the 1990s. Behind this proposition, perhaps more should be pursued, is the belief that everyone adheres to the depths of their hearts. This belief has made Nicholas Tse from youth to confusion, still have his original intention, and still can go and fight. He may be the last tough guy action actor in Hong Kong. But as long as this belief is passed on and the future looks forward, he will not be the last one.

Nicholas Tse, a gentle and tough man, recalled that there was a very special lamp in his home. He put a wire on it, and it was covered with gifts from his predecessors.

Andy Lau wrote: "People are good and do not bully."

Fifteen years ago, director Chen Musheng wrote: "Keep your faith."

Time passed, and the young man became middle-aged. He finally understood what was hidden behind these four words.

He was born from a spark, and he has been searching for the ordinary all his life. Finally, in these few words, he found another fire that can be passed down by him.

Liu Yifei claims to be the ugliest in her family? Seeing their photos, netizens: I believe it

Speaking of Liu Yifei, everyone’s first impression is "fairy sister". In fact, Liu Yifei said before that she is the "ugliest" in the whole family, because her family is very beautiful, so let’s take a look at the photos of Liu Yifei’s family and see why Liu Yifei is the "ugliest" in the whole family?

This is a photo of Liu Yifei’s mother in her early years. She grew up like this in her early years, and she could directly shoot "Shanghai Beach".

Later, my mother got a little older, but looking at my mother’s ancient costume photos is still beautiful, and some people can’t tell if it’s "mother" or "sister".

In addition to the ancient costume photos, Liu Yifei’s mother’s recent skin is also very good, and very smooth. It is really not easy to maintain such a face at such an old age.

With such beauty at this age, it can be said that many female celebrities in the entertainment industry cannot have such a face.

Liu Yifei took pictures with her mother when she was a child, giving people a feeling of "sister and sister" taking pictures.

Even if Liu Yifei grows up, her mother’s appearance has not changed, and she is still so beautiful and beautiful.

After seeing Liu Yifei’s mother, some people still want to see Liu Yifei’s father, and today they will post a photo of Liu Yifei’s father.

This is Liu Yifei’s father, and his appearance is also very outstanding. No wonder he gave birth to such a beautiful daughter as "Liu Yifei"!

Liu Yifei’s mother’s sister is also rather outstanding in appearance. Liu Yifei’s aunt is at least 20 years older than herself, but the photos of the two together show no sense of incompatibility.

This cousin’s appearance can be said to be able to debut in place. Now many members of the girl group are probably not as good-looking as Aunt Liu Yifei.

I didn’t expect Liu Yifei’s aunt to be considered a great beauty.

Liu Yifei was just a teenager when she was filming TV dramas in her early years. At that time, Liu Yifei was still very beautiful.

Liu Yifei was called "fairy sister", which should not be underestimated.

Liu Yifei has left us many film and television works, and the characters in each work are deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

Liu Yifei herself looks very beautiful, but she didn’t expect her family to look so good-looking.

So Liu Yifei said at the beginning that she was the ugliest in the whole family, but after seeing the photos of Liu Yifei’s parents, aunts and cousins, everyone said "understandable".

The images in the film and television dramas played by Liu Yifei are also gentle and lovely.

From her parents to her aunt, Liu Yifei’s family looks perfect.

Is Liu Yifei the ugliest in the whole family? Seeing the photos of my parents, cousins and aunts, netizens: I believe it! I don’t know what everyone thinks of Liu Yifei’s family’s appearance?

I don’t know how much everyone should rate the beauty of the fairy sister?

Han Han, Deng Chao, and Yi Nengjing cross-border as directors in 2014, and their works are highly anticipated

Han Han’s "Afterlife" has been launched

2014 is destined to be a landmark year in the film director circle. The artistic credibility of the fifth generation of directors is facing collapse, and the new directors are about to build their own city walls. The change of the dynasty of domestic films depends on this year.

Let’s watch – Yi Nengjing joined hands with Dasheng International to direct, Han Han transitioned from a writer to a self-directed road movie, Deng Chao directed and starred in a hot film in Beijing, and even Liu Jialing is unwilling to be lonely and is expected to direct the movie version of "Summer of Bubbles". These new directors mean new content and experiments, which are worth consumers’ expectations.

Feng Xiaogang, the representative of the old director, has a poor reputation in the home court of the three major directors in the mainland. In 2014, there will be Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige and Jiang Wen. We will wait and see if the kings can justify themselves as domestic films.

Han Han’s "Future"

There is a woman wearing a cheongsam on the road

Expectation points: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Special highlights: "After Indefinite" has been launched in Shanghai on February 14, and the announced actors include Chen Bolin, Chen Qiaoen, and Feng Shaofeng. It is reported that Chen Bolin will subvert his previous image and acting skills in the film. What’s even more amazing is that Chen Qiaoen is wearing a cheongsam on the highway in this film. Is Han Han trying to cross or play stream of consciousness? Feng Shaofeng’s figure is also seen in the exposed set photos of "After Indefinite", which makes people fantasize about the whole movie.

Reporter complains: A driver who doesn’t want to be a director is not a good writer. In 2013, Guo Jingming became a formal director by virtue of not only successfully making money 700 million. Xiao Si’s success proved the feasibility of a writer becoming a director, and also set an example for Han Han. This time Han Han’s "Future Infinity" has been a big battle, and there are many expectations. Many netizens said, "No matter what, it will not be worse than" Small Times ". It’s just that I don’t know if Han Han’s" non-follow-the-trend "and" maverick "style PK Guo Jingming’s" eye-catching "hype can get satisfactory results at the box office. However, whether it is Han Han’s "Future Indefinite" or Guo Jingming’s "Small Times" before, it has earned enough attention and attention, and it has long been imposing to shoot the previous mainland directors to death on the beach.

"The Breakup Master" poster

Deng Chao, "The Breakup Master"

Chick movies are the most popular

Expectation points: ★ ★ ★ ★

Special Highlights: It is understood that in this romantic comedy, Deng Chao’s role is a "** scumbag". Yang Mi appears in the scene without makeup and plays a "CD dealer" on the edge of the city. His boyfriend wants to get rid of her and finds the "breakup master" Deng Chao. Deng Chao, who is a director for the first time, is very excited. He broke the news that he abused people and himself on the set, just to make the whole country laugh.

Reporter complains: Deng Chao wanted to be a director as early as three or four years ago, and he only owed the right time and place; now the star crossover is popular, and the big directors are not awesome, and finally the time is ripe. Deng Chao has saved every corner of this new film with a sense of intelligence: it is definitely a smart move to make a medium-cost hilarious urban film debut; in the early years, Deng Chao and Yu Baimei’s "Cuihua, Sauerkraut" has a good reputation, so this adaptation of Yu Baimei’s play of the same name can be said to be a natural success; choosing Yang Mi as the heroine ensures that tens of millions of fans will pay for you in minutes. The only hidden danger of "The Breakup Master" is that telling jokes does not necessarily lead to directing movies. After all, the film industry has its own rhythm and breathing.

Yi Nengjing will direct "I Am the Queen"

Yi Nengjing’s "I Am the Queen"

Examine the gold content of "talented women"

Expectation points: ★ ★ ★

Special highlights: "I am the Queen" is directed by Yi Nengjing and starred by Song Hye Kyo. Through the eyes of three girlfriends, it reflects a period of love inside and outside the marriage.

Reporter complained: As early as the end of 2012, Yi Nengjing established her own studio and bought the online novel "Bad Men Teach Silly Girls to Be Queens", saying that it is "very suitable for today’s women", and now it is also promoted through the stall of the old and new in the film industry. At a glance, whether it is an actor, singer or writer, as long as they have been exposed to the entertainment industry, watched movies, and saved the stories of the first half of their lives, they can get together to make a movie and play as a director when they are old. How talented is the talented woman Yi Nengjing, and whether she can surpass Yang Caini, we will wait and see.

Fan Bingbing’s "Second Exposure" went crazy, and the director couldn’t bear to shoot any more heart-wrenching scenes

Fan Bingbing appeared at the Shenzhen conference of "Second Exposure"

Talk about shooting anecdotes

Producers Fang Li, Fan Bingbing and director Li Yu

On September 21, the film crew came to Shenzhen to promote the film. Fan Bingbing made a fresh appearance in a big-name simple and elegant suit, and counted the cruelty scenes in and out of the film at the press conference. She praised the "life-threatening team" led by director Li Yu and producer Fang Li, saying that their full dedication was one of the most motivating reasons for her during the filming of "Second Exposure"; while director Li Yu said that Fan Bingbing acted "crazy" in the play, which made her unable to bear to shoot "cruelty scenes".

Heart abuse one: "Heart abuse" plot, double betrayal

Fan Bingbing’s role as Song Qi in the film has a very difficult experience. Her best friend is in love with her boyfriend. The depth of her "heart abuse" comes from the psychological shadow caused by her broken childhood family. The truth is confusing. Fan Bingbing also said that she was "crazy" in the play. When talking about her choice of script, she said that she was not only attracted by Song Qi’s role, but also moved by the "heart abuse" of this story. Director Li Yu believes that she "tailor-made" the role of Song Qi for Fan Bingbing, because she is well aware of the surprises and possibilities of working with Fan Bingbing, and has a very in-depth communication with Fan Bingbing at the script stage; it is Bingbing’s eagerness to try that makes her firmly "carry out the abuse to the end". She praised Fan Bingbing as an actor who is "so real that he can be" consistent ". The friendship and tacit understanding between the two made Fan Bingbing’s wonderful performance in" Double Exposure ".

Heart Abuse No. 2: "Heart Abuse" performance, Li Yu couldn’t bear to shoot

Fan Bingbing’s life-threatening filming is no longer news. With the recent in-depth promotion of "Second Exposure", in many media interviews, Fan Bingbing can be read about "appalling" shooting experiences such as 12 hours of continuous underwater shooting and drinking a catty of red wine for shooting collapse scenes. Compared with underwater shooting with fever, the experience of blood vessels rupturing and red eyeballs is even worse. When Li Yu talked about Fan Bingbing’s performance in this film, he lamented that Fan Bingbing not only had no complaints during the shooting, but even took the initiative to decompress himself when he felt "unable to watch". This kind of professionalism has been consistent since the first time the two cooperated, and he is determined not to let Bingbing "suffer" again; while Fan Bingbing laughed and said "who doesn’t suffer in the filming", whose cheerfulness and sincerity are touching.

Heart Abuse No. 3: "Heart Abuse" Cooperates with Fan Bingbing as "Peacemaker"

At the press conference on the 22nd, Fan Bingbing also lamented that the filming process was quite "abusive", especially the input of producer Fang Li and director Li Yu, which made all the members of the crew "have to work hard". Director Li Yu and producer Fang Li worked hard for the production of this film. During the planning and shooting, four computers were smashed due to disputes. Fan Bingbing was forced to play the role of "peacemaker". She laughed, "But she didn’t smash the computer I gave Li Yu." Fan Bingbing is grateful to have joined such a team. It is the fate of her life to share weal and woe with such a group of people who really love movies. Director Li Yu expressed the hope to be good friends with Fan Bingbing for a lifetime. She cherishes each other’s feelings very much.

Edison Chen releases new album, claiming that he just wants to be a good father

During the promotion, Edison Chen shaved his head and left a small tuft of tail-like hair at the back of his head, which was dyed bright pink. Beijing News reporter, Guo Yanbing, photo

In addition to the title and name of the album cover, there is a little doll with a gold hoop and a long tail – this is Edison Chen’s childhood photo.

After seven years, Edison Chen returned on September 3 with his new Mandarin album "A Monkey, Part 3". The "A Monkey" series is strongly branded as "biographical", and the trilogy will be released in flashbacks of "three, two, one". The first release of "A Monkey, Part 3" is Chen Edison’s first album since signing with Modern Sky, and it is also his first attempt to release records in mainland China through digital payment.

Asked what his daughter had changed him, Edison Chen responded, happy and hoping to be a good father. At the end of the press conference, Edison Chen expressed his gratitude to fans: "So many things have happened over the years, thank you for always supporting me." And told the media, "Many people think that my attitude towards the media is not very good. If you respect me, I will respect you, and you will find that I am not that bad."

Concept "I am the Monkey King"

Edison Chen, who is seen by the public as straightforward and unrestrained, has repeatedly become a controversial figure, and has a sense of music that is ahead of its time. Edison Chen named his new album "A Monkey", which undoubtedly sees himself in the "Monkey King".

At the press conference, Edison Chen explained that the creative inspiration for the album came from the movie "Romeo and Juliet" (1996 version, starring Leonardo DiCaprio), and the Australian director Baz Luhrmann refurbished Shakespeare’s classic plays in a postmodern way. It "gave me inspiration, [put my song] in the story of Sun Wukong, there are naughty bad [stages], guilt when lost, [also found] re-me part. Because I am a monkey born in 1980, I am the monkey king. This is not just an album, it is a story."

Produce and create all Mandarin lyrics

In terms of album production, Chen Edison arranged all the lyrics of the entire album, the album creative and the supervision of the music of the entire album. He said: "I haven’t recorded songs and released albums for several years, I have a lot to talk about, a lot has happened in seven years, and I want to tell everyone what I am thinking recently through my music. The most important reason is that I want to try to write my own Mandarin lyrics. It is easy to write flow in English, and it is also easy in Japanese, but it is difficult in Mandarin and Cantonese. In the past, MC Hot Dog and MC Ren helped me translate the lyrics, and I just put the sound in, but this time it is all my own creation."

As for composition, arrangement, and post productin, the lineup for the "A Monkey" series is also luxurious, including Grammy Award-winning James Fauntleroy, DJ White Shadow, producer of Lady Gaga’s album "Born This Way", and French musician DJ Snake, who has worked with Justin Bieber.

  Create a story

In the first release of "A Monkey, Part 3", Edison Chen, who was "arrogant" in the eyes of the public, unexpectedly became warm. The 8-minute single "God" is his dramatic inner monologue. In "Tears in Melody", he helplessly sings "Play and play, and in the end, there are so few brothers left." In "Ingredients of True Love", he repeatedly reads "Only you are in my eyes, only you are in my heart." In addition to his sincere confession as a new father, he also encourages girls to be brave and be themselves in the song "Clothing".

Deng Chao will marry Sun Li by default, and the two are rumored to be preparing to take wedding photos

Recently, there has been an endless stream of news about the relationship between Deng Chao and Sun Li. One will say that the relationship has faded and broken up, and the other will say that the third party An Yixuan intervened and caused the relationship to break up. The latest news about the relationship between the two is that the two have been reconciled as before. It is said that the parents of both parties have the intention of forcing marriage, and the two are preparing to take wedding photos. Sun Li also began to call Deng Chao "husband". The other day, a reporter interviewed Deng Chao and asked him what the real situation of the two people is now, and whether they have plans to get married. Deng Chao said: "For the bubble outside these works of art, it may be very topical and fascinating. This is also something I can’t avoid as an actor, and I have no right to complain. But what I want to say is that there is no third party in marriage, only I know." The reporter continued to ask whether the recent marriage rumors were true. Deng Chao laughed and said: "Actually, I am also an ordinary person." The subtext seemed to be more acquiescence than denial.

Deng Chao said that his previous role in many TV series had a very specific view of love. In real life, he also agreed with this view of love. Asked if he had ever been attracted to other girls besides Sun Li? If he also had his own confidante, Deng Chao expressed his loyalty again, "I don’t have a confidante, only a lover."
