Warriors 4 years, 109 million early renewal of Wiggins

ESPN reporter Woj reported that agents Drew Morrison and Stephen Herman informed Andrew Wiggins and Warriors that they had completed four years and 109 million dollars in advance contract extension.

The new contract includes player options for the final year. Counting this season, Wiggins will take $143 million from the Warriors in five years.

Wiggins’ salary is 33.6 million this season, the starting salary of the new contract is 24.3 million, and the second year is 26.3 million.

The Warriors also renewed Jordan Poole in advance for $140 million in four years, ensuring that the core team that won the championship will stay in the team in the 2023-24 season.

The Warriors traded Wiggins in 2020, and the latter became the key offensive and defensive core of the Warriors’ flank position. Wiggins averaged 17.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game last season, and was selected as an All-Star starter for the first time in his career.
