After the disaster, emergency, public security, fire fighting and other rescue forces quickly launched a life rescue against time.
At 23: 34 on the 10th, due to the long-term heavy rainfall, the mountain torrents in Zhangzigou Village caused mudslides, and the rolling mud poured down the river. The sleeping people were quickly awakened, and everyone took their umbrellas and ran to the highlands to avoid danger. "It’s the first time I’ve seen such a heavy rain." Some old people in the village said. Soon, mud poured into village roads, squares and even some villagers’ homes.

At this time, someone in the crowd shouted, "The people in the gravel factory have not yet withdrawn" and "Call the police quickly". There are more than 30 workers in the sand and gravel factory. When the mudslide happened, many people were trapped in the shed, and dump trucks and trucks were overturned in the river by muddy water. The situation was very urgent.
The night was dark and the heavy rain continued. The flood drainage channel in the village has been blocked, and a large amount of sand and mud water is coming in everywhere. Search and rescue personnel waded through the muddy water hand in hand, and every step had to be exhausted. After arduous trekking, they finally rescued many workers trapped in the shed one after another, and seven of them were injured. Two other people were killed and two lost contact, and the search and rescue personnel were involved in the search for the lost contact.

At 16: 00 on the 11th, 336 people from 76 affected households had all been transferred to temporary resettlement sites. Water and electricity were supplied in the resettlement site for the first time, and the lives of the affected people were guaranteed. The rescue forces also worked with local cadres and masses to clear silt, dig tunnels and strengthen houses, and fully restored the post-disaster production and living order.
