Huawei Pure Blood Hongmeng is ready, and fluency has been greatly improved

Huawei’s new pure Hongmeng operating system is ready and is expected to debut on the Mate 60 and Pura 70 series of phones.

According to reports, the new system uses a full-stack self-developed architecture and no longer relies on traditional AOSP code, which has significantly improved the running fluency of the system.

In addition, the pure version of the Hongmeng system only supports the Hongmeng kernel and system applications, reducing unnecessary code by about 40%, which not only improves the operating efficiency of the system, but also enhances the security.

Previous reports also pointed out that the HarmonyOS Next (pure version of Hongmeng system) tested on the Mate 70 series of mobile phones can triple the efficiency of memory utilization.

This means that on the same hardware platform, the efficiency of running Hongmeng system far exceeds that of Android system.

Huawei’s rotating chairperson, Xu Zhijun, made it clear at an analyst conference in April that building a native application ecosystem for the Hongmeng system is Huawei’s main goal in 2024.

Huawei plans to migrate more than 5,000 commonly used smartphone applications in the Chinese market to Hongmeng’s native operating system in the next year, achieving deep integration between the operating system and the application ecosystem.

Xu Zhijun said that once thousands of applications migrate from the Android ecosystem to Hongmeng OS, Hongmeng will truly mature and has the potential to become the third largest mainstream mobile operating system in the world after Apple iOS and Google Android.
