Range Rover Sport Edition originated from Land Rover’s first concept car, Range Rover Storm, which debuted at Detroit Auto Show in January, 2004. It has a 4.4-liter naturally aspirated 32-valve four-camshaft V8 engine which originated from Jaguar and was carefully improved by Land Rover. It can output 300 horsepower (220 kW) at a speed of 5,500 rpm and 425 Nm of maximum torque at a speed of 4,000 rpm. A variable camshaft timing system is also adopted, which can automatically control the valve timing according to the driving action. Power and torque are transmitted to all four wheels anytime and anywhere through the advanced ZF6-speed electronic control automatic gearbox, which ensures smooth shifting operation and super-class throttle response.
