Selling cars has become the main demand of car companies for Chengdu Auto Show, especially in the traditional peak consumption season node of "Golden September and Silver 10".
With the release of the sales and delivery data of the new forces in August, the industry changes are still going on. Some people quit their jobs and go back to their hometowns, and some people rush to the examination hall at night.
HarmonyOS Zhixing still failed to stop the downward trend, and Nezha Auto, which launched an impact on the capital market, didn’t get out of the sales difficulties, and started to enlarge its recruitment at zero speed. The hot sale of the new car C16 made its monthly sales exceed the 30,000 mark, becoming the third new force to break this barrier.
HarmonyOS Zhixing suffered the biggest decline.
In August, Ideal ranked first with the delivery of 48,100 vehicles, but compared with 51,000 vehicles in July, it decreased by 5.64% from the previous month, failing to maintain the delivery of 50,000 vehicles.
Previously, the ideal side had predicted that the delivery volume of vehicles in the third quarter of this year was 145,000 to 155,000, an increase of 38% to 47.5% compared with the third quarter of last year. To achieve the third quarter target, the ideal delivery volume in September needs to reach at least 45,900 vehicles. At the same time, the company’s annual delivery target is 480,000 vehicles. To achieve this goal, the ideal monthly delivery volume needs to reach about 48,000 vehicles in the next four months, and the monthly performance cannot be lost.

Zero run "focusing on big things"
In August, the zero-run car delivered the best report card in a single month, surpassing 30,000 vehicles for the first time. From the first delivery of 20,000 vehicles to the first delivery of 30,000 vehicles, it took less than three months to run at zero speed, becoming the third new force to sell 30,000 vehicles a month after the ideal and the world.
Zero-run cars delivered 30,305 vehicles in August, a year-on-year increase of 113% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of over 37%. Among them, the zero-run SUV family delivered over 72%, and the zero-run C16 delivered over 8,000 vehicles.
The hot sale of C16 directly contributed to the performance of zero-run. In June, it broke through 20,000 vehicles in a single month for the first time, exceeded 22,000 vehicles in July and broke 30,000 vehicles in August. At the end of June this year, C16, a new zero-run SUV series, was launched. This model offers two kinds of power options: pure electric version and extended range version. The price range is 155,800-185,800 yuan, and it will reach 5,208 vehicles within 48 hours of sale. According to the Zero Run, C16 will exceed 10,000 vehicles in the first month of listing.
In August, there was only one new car-making force with a delivery volume of 20,000 echelon. For four consecutive months, its delivery volume exceeded 20,000, and the delivery volume remained stable. In August, Weilai delivered 20,176 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 4.38% and a slight decrease of 1.57% from the previous month. By the end of August, Weilai had delivered a total of 128,100 new cars this year, up 35.8% year-on-year, and achieved the annual target of over 55%.
It is worth noting that on September 1, the second brand of Weilai Ledao Automobile announced that its first batch of 105 offline stores opened simultaneously nationwide, covering 55 cities. At the same time, the Ledao L60 model has arrived at the store for consumers to experience and buy. This model is a coupe SUV, starting at 219,900 yuan, aiming at the mainstream market of 200,000 yuan. With the entry of Ledao, Weilai’s monthly delivery will usher in a wave of increase.
Nezha is struggling in the line of life and death.
In August, 18,000 vehicles were delivered, a year-on-year increase of 46% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 15%. In the first eight months, its cumulative delivery volume was 121,500 vehicles, accounting for 52.84% of the annual target sales.
Xpeng Motors delivered 14,000 vehicles in August, up 2.53% year-on-year and 25.94% quarter-on-quarter. In the first eight months, its overall delivery performance was poor, with a cumulative delivery of 77,200 vehicles, only 27.57% of the target sales volume was completed. At the end of the month, Tucki released a big move, listing the parity series MONA M03 in Tucki, and the new car was also regarded as the key factor for Tucki to turn the situation around.
Specifically, on August 27th, the intelligent pure electric hatchback Tucki MONA M03 was officially launched, with the price range of 119,800 to 155,800 yuan. It is the cheapest car currently on sale in Tucki, aiming at the low-end market. According to industry sources, Tucki MONA M03 will exceed 30,000 vehicles in 48 hours. With the hot sale of MONA M03 in Tucki, Tucki may have a period of rapid growth in the fourth quarter, which will drive the overall delivery growth. Nezha Auto is also struggling to find the increment.
In August, although Nezha released two new cars, the new Nezha X and S Hunting Clothes, they did not attract much attention. The sluggish market fever made the sale of new cars not bring great help to the performance. Nezha Automobile was the only new car-making force with a year-on-year decline and a month-on-month decline in delivery in August.
In that month, Nezha delivered 11,005 vehicles, down 9.07% year-on-year and 0.09% quarter-on-quarter. From January to August this year, Nezha delivered a total of 75,790 vehicles, only achieving 25.26% of the annual delivery target. It is worth noting that the sales volume of automobiles in Nezha has been declining for six consecutive months since February.
In June this year, Nezha submitted a form to apply for listing of Hong Kong stocks. The prospectus showed that its accumulated losses in the past three years amounted to 18.4 billion yuan, and it was in urgent need of financing and blood transfusion. However, the continued sluggish sales volume undoubtedly cast a shadow over the listing of Nezha.
Xiaomi also sold over 10,000 yuan in August. In August, the delivery volume of Xiaomi SU7 continued to exceed 10,000 vehicles, reaching the delivery target of breaking 10,000 vehicles for three consecutive months. For the results in August, founder Lei JunfaWeiboIt is estimated that the annual delivery target of 100,000 vehicles will be completed ahead of schedule in November.
